Cembra: the cradle of italian curling

The town of Cembra boasts a long-standing tradition in curling, a sport that was first played here outdoors on the frozen surface of Lake Santo, at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. Today, Cembra is home to the Palacurling Cembra, one of the few indoor curling facilities in northern Italy, featuring two dedicated sheets for national and international competitions.

Inaugurated in 2006, the Palacurling is the perfect place to experience this sport, thanks to the presence of qualified instructors and the availability of rental equipment. Nestled in the Scorzai valley, the facility also hosts music and folkloric events for the whole family. It was built using natural materials — with a wooden roof and porphyry stone elements for decorative features.
